Our Classes

Essential Mat

The essential mat classes are great for those that are at the beginning of their Pilates journey, returning to practice after a break from exercise, or returning after injury. In this class we break down each exercise of the Pilates repertoire and focus on the fundamentals of the exercises.

Mixed Ability

The mixed ability may classes are great for all levels, with modifications given for each exercise. In these classes we use small equipment to help with alignment, body awareness and to offer intensity.

Stretch and Release

This is a restorative class using the principles of trigger point therapy to help release tension within the body and mind. Massage balls, foam rollers and therabands are used to help to slowly release the deep tissues and fascia of the body. This form of trigger point work offers the benefits of helping to reduce chronic pain and increase injury recovery.

Baby and Me

Our post natal classes help you to reconnect with your body after pregnancy and birth. Pilates is a safe, low impact exercise that can strengthen and realign the body, giving a great foundation to any further exercise programme you may follow.

These classes give you the opportunity to bring baby along with you, so there is no need to worry about childcare.

Mat and Reformer 121

Pilates 121’s are a great way to start your Pilates journey. Whether you are prenatal, returning from injury, working towards a specific goal, or wanting to build confidence before joining a class, we can tailor your 121 to benefit your needs.

All 121 sessions are held by Catherine and can include either mat work or reformer- or both!

What is Reformer?

The reformer is a piece of apparatus designed and engineered by Joseph Pilates and is used to equally assist and challenge you during your workout. This piece of equipment can also help to increase your ability of the mat work, and through resistance of the springs on the machine can help strengthen your body.

Barre

Barre is a great low impact full body workout that is suitable for all ages and abilities. In this class you will strengthen muscles and build endurance through high repetition. With elements of Pilates and ballet, Barre can help increase flexibility.

These classes are also perfect for pre and post natal women. Meet us at the Barre!
